National Park in Bihar : Valmiki National Park

Valmiki National Park is the only national park in Bihar, located in the West Champaran district. Established in 1989 and part of the Valmiki Tiger Reserve, it is known for its rich biodiversity, including Bengal tigers, Indian rhinoceros, black bears, and over 241 bird species. The park also features a mix of sal forests, swamps, and alluvial grasslands. As Bihar’s only tiger reserve, it plays a crucial role in wildlife conservation under Project Tiger. Valmiki National Park is a key eco-tourism destination, with efforts to develop India’s largest grassland in progress.
